Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. However, it can be a problem if you find it difficult to keep it under control or if family, friends or work colleagues tell you to “calm down”. Then you may have a problem and should seek specialist help. With the right help, and discussing your feelings, you can learn to control (not get rid of anger), as we all need to use controlled anger sometimes.
Because of confidentially issues I work predominately with the individual on their personal anger.
We explore anger, and its triggers, and how it affects you. I use tools such as personal anger diaries and anger function charts, also looking at aggression and assertiveness.
